About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is a hands-on supervisor responsible for directing daily activities of warehouse staff and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the work process. This role involves loading/unloading tires, managing inventory, and training entry-level associates. The Lead operates under minimal supervision and uses forklifts to move and store tires as needed.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish Required.
  • Regularly lift freight up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., sit-down forklift).
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Resolve issues independently when needed.
  • Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities with urgency and professionalism.
  • Five (5) years experience in a warehouse environment, with Inventory Control experience.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must be forklift certified and able to operate material handling equipment, i.e., forklift, sit down and stand up.
  • Be able to read, write and speak English, with basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish.
  • Must have the ability to reason logically, use common sense, and resolve issues independently.
  • The physical demands of this position require waling, standing, sitting, hearing, seeing, moving, driving, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • The work environment is typical of a warehouse, with forklifts moving, truck being loaded and unloaded, using propane and electricity, with a strong smell of tires. The environment has uncontrolled air.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, and distribution. Step into any role to maintain service continuity.
  • Train warehouse associates and uphold quality and productivity standards.
  • Manage paperwork and data tracking for product movement.
  • Conduct safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Load/unload tires using forklifts, ensuring accuracy and damage-free handling.
  • Pick and put away orders as needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
