About The Position

Oversee and optimize all warehouse and yard operations, ensuring Operational Excellence in customer service, order fulfillment, and inventory management. Lead process improvement initiatives, maintain a safe and organized facility, and provide supervisory support to Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) while upholding company policies and core values.

Requirements

  • High School/GED preferred.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
  • Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing in English.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record: current forklift certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience for managerial roles; 1 year of forklift experience preferred for associate tasks, construction industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, performance standards, and core values.
  • Drive continuous improvement in people, products, processes, and profitability through proactive leadership and measurable goals.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines, reporting concerns, and promoting safety as a core value.
  • Manage and support RDC operations, including safety protocols, associate training, development, and facility maintenance.
  • Oversee accurate and efficient order fulfillment, including receiving, storing, handling, and shipping products for customer delivery.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, reject damaged items, and ensure proper storage in designated areas.
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication of material shipments with yard, dispatch, and customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manually or mechanically load/unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, or vehicles, ensuring safe handling.
  • Resolve order-related conflicts professionally and complete Customer Concern Forms (CCFs) as needed.
  • Manage inventory control, conduct monthly physical inventories, and report findings to leadership.
  • Process sales (cash, account, counter, showroom) and provide consultative support to customers.
  • Monitor financial metrics, manage expenses, and implement processes to meet or exceed budgetary goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable work area, including warehouse and yard spaces.
  • Coordinate fulfillment of back orders and special-order products with purchasing, yard, and dispatch teams.
  • Protect company reputation by maintaining confidentiality of pricing, promotions, and customer information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including archway, warehouse, yard, or delivery tasks.
