About The Position

Overview: Performs and leads a variety of tasks in support of warehousing functions which include but are not limited to: shipping, receiving, and wire cutting with a focus on quality, productivity, output and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • A strong background in warehouse operations including, shipping, receiving, delivery and inventory control
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft office and Warehouse Management Systems.

  • Ability to delegate work when necessary

  • The ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and various warehousing machinery/tools
  • Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Background check is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Forklift certified or the ability to become Forklift Certified is required.
  • Math skills and measurements skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior warehouse lead or supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and directs a variety of tasks including preparing, picking, packing, staging, and shipping of material in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate expectations to team
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Maintain high customer service levels
  • Measure and address the effectiveness and productivity of the warehouse team
  • Monitor and coach accuracy of work performed by warehouse team
  • Resolve problems and answer questions
  • May participate in the hiring and onboarding process
  • Answer communication regarding your area within 24 hours
  • Verify the work done in your area of responsibility is performed correctly and in accordance with existing Work Instructions.
  • Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the work performed in your area.
  • Carry out safety activities to include ensuring compliance with safety policy and ensuring employee training is conducted.
  • Provide training and coaching to improve performance.
