About The Position

Job Summary: The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for various tasks related to receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or warehousing is a plus.
  • Prior experience as a warehouse operator or similar role is preferred.
  • Valid forklift operator's license and demonstrated proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order processing.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management software is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to adapt to changing situations.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents, and inspect for damages.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software to accurately record and track inventory levels.
  • Sort, label, and appropriately store received goods in designated storage areas.
  • Pick and pack orders according to established procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by following proper housekeeping protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Prepare items for shipping, including packaging, labeling, and loading onto delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and actively contribute to operational enhancements.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry trends.
