About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe production, packaging, and storage of customer products. This role involves leading a team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety and quality standards SBM Life Science is dedicated to reconnecting people with nature through our products and solutions. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a safety or supervisory role
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; First Aid and CPR certification plus
  • Forklift certification required; additional certifications in warehouse safety are a plus
  • Active and Valid driver's license, possibly a Texas driver's license, and the ability to pass DOT physicals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
  • High level of accuracy in safety inspections, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and management.
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and warehouse safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency drills.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental policies and procedures, including waste management and hazardous materials handling.
  • Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities and incidents.
  • Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in resolving safety-related issues.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures.
  • Report incidents to management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Identify opportunities for safety improvements and contribute to the development of safety programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management to implement the best practices and enhance warehouse safety performance.
