About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe production, packaging, and storage of customer products. This role involves leading a team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety and quality standards SBM Life Science is dedicated to reconnecting people with nature through our products and solutions. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's in a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a safety or supervisory role
Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; First Aid and CPR certification plus
Forklift certification required; additional certifications in warehouse safety are a plus
Active and Valid driver's license, possibly a Texas driver's license, and the ability to pass DOT physicals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
High level of accuracy in safety inspections, documentation, and reporting.
Ability to identify safety hazards and implement effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and management.
In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and warehouse safety practices.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Lead and participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency drills.
Ensure adherence to environmental policies and procedures, including waste management and hazardous materials handling.
Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities and incidents.
Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Provide guidance and support to staff in resolving safety-related issues.
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures.
Report incidents to management and regulatory agencies as required.
Identify opportunities for safety improvements and contribute to the development of safety programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with management to implement the best practices and enhance warehouse safety performance.
