About The Position

The Warehouse Lead coordinates the daily activities of material handlers on the warehouse floor, ensuring efficient movement of materials and accuracy of inventory. This role supports the warehouse team in loading, unloading, and organizing ingredients, frozen food products, and other components while reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

  • At least five (3) years’ experiences including three (2) years in a supervisory role in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement HACCP, SQF, SOPs, SSOP’s, GMPs, and preventative maintenance programs applicable to food production and food safety principles.
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing processes
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize under the pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Ability to persuade and positively influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead material handlers in moving materials, supplies, and frozen food products throughout the facility.
  • Ensure product information—including codes, part numbers, quantities, and locations—is recorded accurately using standard worksheets and workflows.
  • Document work performed according to standard work instructions and protocols.
  • Assist in tracking and recording inventory movement in the NetSuite ERP system.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of warehouse, dock, and storage areas.
  • Direct production support personnel to follow warehouse and storage organization plans.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Control team and Supervisor on managing on-site and 3PL inventory.
  • Monitor warehouse operations and promptly report issues to the Supervisor, FSQA, Maintenance, or Supply Chain teams.
  • Participate in CAPA investigations as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions, including: - Temperature control - Product segregation to avoid allergen cross-contact and meet other certification requirements - Hygienic practices to prevent cross-contamination
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for packaging integrity, quality, and compliance with safety requirements, escalating issues as needed to the Supervisor.
  • Support accurate inventory management, including FIFO/FEFO procedures, traceability, and documentation for audits or recalls.
  • Assist in training warehouse operators in food safety and handling procedures under FSQA guidance.
  • Supervise warehouse operators to ensure they follow GMPs
  • Adhere to systemwide GMPs as expected of all JP personnel
