About The Position

Working as a member of a team to ensure both internal and external customer needs are met. The Warehouse Lead will perform various warehousing duties to support the needs of the company as well as supervisory functions of day-to-day work.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable organizational skills.
  • Fundamental math skills and use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Hold a valid and current Driver’s License.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse duties: including and not limited to, truck loading, staging of product, inventory, receiving, and housekeeping.
  • Rotation of shift may include some Saturday and holiday work.
  • Knowledge of Invoice and Bill of Lading procedure
  • Understand loading procedure according to mapped load sheets supplied by Distribution Department.
  • Be aware of and adhere to safety concerns within all facilities and notify supervisor when necessary.
  • Be aware of maintenance concerns within all facilities (out of the ordinary freezer/dock storage temperatures, fans, water leakage, etc.) and notify supervisor.
  • Navigate to, pick-up and delivery of product from assigned local locations for company needs.
  • Communicate and work as a team member.
  • Communicate with employees and others through written, oral, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Assist other team members in completion of work.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules with varying hours as required.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Understand and follow procedures located in the Employee Action Plan.
  • Understand and follow warehouse workflow procedures and tasks according to established procedures.
  • Always maintain equipment clean and orderly.
  • Always follow all safety practices and procedures including but not limited to chocking wheels, inspecting trailers before loading, and de-icing floors.
  • Move pallets between inventory locations.
  • Releasing Packs from Pallets.
  • Perform various tasks using a scan gun including not limited scanning pallets to packs, re-leasing packs from pallets, printing tickets, and moving pallets between inventory locations.
  • Perform pallet management and shipping preparation to include but not limited to assisting with staging frozen pallets, dry icing and sleeving, and wrapping pallets.
  • Follow pallet procedures including but not limited to understanding when pallets are re-leased from QA, pulling the pallet from the blast, and rearranging the blast as necessary.
  • Follow trailer loading procedures to include but not limited to filling out Trailer Inspection Sheet, prepare trailer by unloading/unloading load locks, blankets, pallet jacks, bulk heads, place chock blocks, and verify cleanliness.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly at all times with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Drive forklift in a safe manner following all procedures and guidelines.
  • Drive company vehicles in a safe manner following all company policies and traffic laws.
  • Ability to plan and schedule loads to and from Cedar Grove.
  • Perform all necessary inventory management tasks including but not limited to stage frozen products following FIFO, arranged freezer in accordance with FIFO, and weekly inventory reconciliation.
  • Perform Inventory stock takes as assigned.
  • Identify damaged cases and re-case them for shipment.
  • Verify all loads using Shipment Pallet Verification Report and load sheets.
  • Fulfills cash sale orders by opening orders, scanning products to order, and delivering prod-ucts to the customer.
  • Receive incoming supplies, materials, and products, confirm that delivered goods match PO#, and complete incoming paperwork.
  • Map out loads while keeping departing trucks within DOT weight regulations and suggest appropriate loading patterns when needed.
  • Input, and maintain information in all necessary forms using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Communicate with the Warehouse Manager and other departments on all safety and maintenance issues as well as vehicles.
  • Plan and schedule loads to and from Cedar Grove.
  • Issue necessary materials, supplies, and equipment to employees throughout the company as needed.
  • Perform weekly inventory reconciliation using necessary reports and methods to reconcile physical counts as manifested.
  • Give clear direction leading to the desired results.
  • Manage the work group to achieve the budgeted standards.
  • Preventing employee idle time by providing clear instruction during lighter workloads.
  • Lead all tasks in the warehouse while supervising other operators.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the workflow in Innova regarding Customers, Pack/Pallet Management, Inventory, and Distribution.
  • Communicate effectively up and down the chain of command (subordinates/peers/supervisors).
  • Be the example in attendance, work ethic, and professionalism while performing all duties and functions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to hold employees accountable for actions, performance and professionalism.
  • Support and enforce all policies, procedures, initiatives and safety programs.
  • Problem solve by identifying problems or opportunities and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare the warehouse for the next shift including but not limited to coordinating with the other shift leads when necessary.
