Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator who will be involved in interactions with our customers, Operations, and Warehouse teams while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Inspects warehouse facilities and equipment and recommends changes in allocation of space, and storing procedures to Manager. Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine product to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for product and distributes paperwork to production workers. Assembles customer orders from racking and prepares orders for shipping. Receives shipments into the warehouse. Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Participates in investigations into causes of customer or shipper complaints and responds accordingly. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Maintain warehouse free from trash and comply with safety and OSHA standards. Operates forklift loading and unloading racks and trailers. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment. Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion, process paperwork for product moving in and out of warehouse. Checks in drivers. Double checks work with pick tickets, sign in/out sheet, BOL (Bill of Landing), Seal, and proper load to correct trailer. Make sure pick ticket is closed properly. Report any damages to rack, unsafe behavior, broken equipment, and daily information (inbound and outbound)

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with a warehouse management system.
  • Great communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Time management.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a current forklift certification.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office word processing software, as well as Cisco phone systems.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
