About The Position

A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor to manage the daily operations of their warehouse in the North Houston Area. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this critical role is approximately 70% focused on floor supervision and 30% on administrative and computer-based tasks, requiring strong leadership and expertise in inventory control using an ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in food manufacturing warehouse operations and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively manage the team and ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Supervisory experience within a food/beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required (verbal and written).
  • Strong inventory control expertise, with proficiency in managing inventory using an ERP system.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop production staff members.
  • Knowledge of SQF, GMP, and organic standards.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and rider pallet jacks.
  • Requires a candidate who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.
  • Develop and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures and implement strategies to improve overall operations.
  • Ensure adherence to SQF, GMP, and organic standards required in food manufacturing.
  • Supervise warehouse staff performance, providing training, coaching, motivation, and development as needed.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment and facilities, including forklifts and rider pallet jacks.
  • Ensure timely review and completion of all documentation forms.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee total inventory management, including regular stock counts and reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of inventory levels utilizing the ERP system.
  • Manage inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Headquarters to manage and synchronize inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
