About The Position

Are you ready to put your best customer skills forward? We are looking for someone who is an expert in organization and customer service. This position provides for the procurement of parts, supplies, equipment, and the operation of the Facilities Management Department (FMD) warehouse. This is crucial for the Operations and Maintenance Division can ensure a safe and functionally stable environment for all the Maricopa County Departments we service. As the landlord for all facilities owned by Maricopa County, the Facilities Management Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of more than 200 facilities comprised of over 10 million square feet. Facilities Management is made up of a collaborative team that provides and performs various functions to meet the facility-related needs of all Maricopa County Departments. Our broad range of services includes various aspects of the ongoing operations and maintenance of all County-owned facilities, management of all facility projects, and in-house design services.

Requirements

  • One year of related warehouse and inventory control experience
  • High school or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s license at the time of hire
  • Must be able to obtain Certified Agency Procurement Aides (CAPA) certification within the first 90 days

Nice To Haves

  • Procurement experience
  • An Associate’s degree in Materials Management, Business is preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates experienced with Maximo Inventory software or equivalent software programs
  • Capital Agency Procurement Aide (CAPA) Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and security of all warehouse materials inventories at location S1414 and individual satellite storerooms
  • Responsible for all aspects of securing, ordering, receiving incoming and outgoing shipments of supplies, tools and materials in accordance with the Maricopa County Procurement Code and Departmental Policies & Procedures for facility maintenance personnel in a just-in-time environment
  • Establish and monitor processes for the issue of material, parts and tools to Departments and other applicable County agencies in accordance with County and Departmental policies
  • Ensure all applicable safety requirements are established and met for the operation.
  • Ensure correct linkage and operation of Maximo as related to inventory
  • Provide weekly and monthly ad-hoc reports as necessary to supervisor and senior management
  • Responsible for completing inventory audits, spot and annual and all year end closing processes established by the County.
  • Maintain the warehouse as a secure environment
  • Manage the MAXIMO costing system to track and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Interface with Office of Procurement Services tracking material costs and contract changes/ updates.
  • Coordinate efforts with Maintenance staff to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Implementation, coordination, and administration of specific inventory programs in support of the Operations and Maintenance Division
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
