About The Position

The Warehouse & Inventory Manager reporting to Plant Manager will lead a team of employees that will directly oversee shop warehouse operations employees or support the operations leaders in the execution of JPort Gate 2 Warehouse. These operations include but are not limited to material handling (put away of parts and picking of parts in stocking locations in a timely and accurate manner), stocking strategy management, demand management, and inventory control and accuracy across the site

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business administration with 4 years of manufacturing experience with a concentration in Warehousing OR a High School Diploma / GED and 6 years of manufacturing experience (Warehousing)
  • 4 years of people leader experience (direct supervisory role)
  • Proven Warehouse, Inventory, or Material Planning experience
  • Experience supporting inventory control processes (cycle counting, physical inventories).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills to influence across the organization
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage information flow and create comprehensive output
  • Ability to make decisions in a complex environment of conflicting priorities with problem solving and collaboration
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skillsets to analyze data, identify trends, forecast needs, and make strategic decisions
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Lean and/or continuous improvement mindset, Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience working with Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines/Aviation engine and module configurations
  • Knowledge of/proficiency in Oracle ERP, Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of employees that oversee the execution of Warehouse & Inventory organization
  • Manage inputs for supply and demand between the shop and global fulfillment to support both delivery and cost business expectations. Maintain stocking levels, physical storage, and movement of that material.
  • Establish robust inventory control and share across the site. Serve as governance and support across over all material handling processes and warehouse teams on-site in relation to location audits and inventory records
  • Accountable for Safety, Quality (including inventory accuracy), Delivery (schedule attainment), and Cost in the area
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost for operations.
  • Hire, train, develop and provide ongoing leadership of assigned personnel
  • Establish and maintain communication tools and structure to ensure team understands and delivers on schedule targets.
  • Devise methods to track, communicate and drive relevant Operations metrics.
  • Hold self and team accountable to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) culture, driving a safe workplace and environment.
  • Unyielding commitment to Aero Alliance principles of Compliance and Integrity.
  • Perform any other job duties as assigned by the Gate Leader to support Service Center Operations.
