Inventory Manager Inventory Manager Location: Minneapolis, MN Job type: Full time Schedule: 6am start time, Monday-Friday Base Salary: $81,500 - $111,500 annually Total Compensation for this position includes base salary, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role. Viking Electric is growing — and we’re looking for an Inventory Manager to lead inventory, receiving, and operational functions at one of our distribution locations. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or distribution; supervisory or counter sales experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams through change, resolve issues, mentor employees, and collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs., standing, and moving throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an operations team (2–15 associates) — including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and productivity to meet service levels and Viking Electric standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment through consistent training, compliance, and policy reinforcement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory control, service delivery, and business processes through analytics and workforce management.
  • Manage facility assets, building maintenance, and operational services in collaboration with corporate partners.
  • Monitor and manage departmental operating budgets and KPIs.
  • Support overall location operations through professionalism, policy adherence, and teamwork.
