About The Position

As a Warehouse Inventory Manager at Kuehne+Nagel, you will oversee the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our inventory operations across the warehouse and distribution network. Your attention to detail ensures that every item-from delicate flowers to fresh ingredients-is stored, tracked, and delivered precisely when and where it's needed. By maintaining optimal stock levels and streamlining inventory flows, you play a vital role in supporting our customers' daily needs-from lunch breaks to family celebrations. At Kuehne+Nagel, your work goes beyond logistics-it helps bring everyday moments to life. In this role, you will ensure the physical cycle counts are performed, accurate inventory levels are maintained, and account for all defective or damaged products, and provide corrective action. Your typical shift will be Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help drive excellent service for our valued customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a distribution environment
  • 5+ years in an inventory role
  • 3+ years in a leadership position
  • 3+ years of WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling FILL IN TYPE goods in a 3PL environment is strongly preferred
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Mangement is a plus

Responsibilities

  • You will be accountable for the success of the inventory function and customer satisfaction
  • Lead an inventory team, train and motivate staff, evaluate and guide their performance, and nurture their professional development
  • Identify new techniques and analytics to improve the overall planning process
  • Lead the annual cost planning process ensuring accuracy and transparency
  • Oversee and monitor discrepancies via cycle counts and adjustments
  • Implement loss prevention programs to reduce shrinkage and minimize risk
  • Build a recovery program to ensure all defective product is accounted for and handled properly
  • Promote accountability and process improvement based on goals; create action plans and issue resolution tracking
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all inventory roles
  • Create all necessary reports and documentation to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Drive accountability and process improvement based on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and targets, including creating action plans and issue resolution tracking
