About The Position

A Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant manages daily warehouse operations, focusing on receiving, storing, picking, and shipping inventory while ensuring high accuracy in stock levels. Key duties include conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies using systems or scanners, maintaining organized, safe storage areas, and preparing documentation for inventory audits to support supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience: Good reading and comprehension as well as aptitude for the use of basic mathematical skills which include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must pass fork lift qualification tests.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb. packages at least chest high.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in warehousing or inventory control preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient operation of warehousing equipment which includes forklifts, drum handling attachments, stretch wrapping equipment, stenciling and labeling, banding and other material handling equipment.
  • Proper communication and documentation regarding the above mentioned operations which includes shipping and receiving of all materials involved with warehousing operations and the safe storage and retrieval of all items.
  • Accountable for the integrity of all items stored and shipped from the warehouse including finished goods shipped directly to all customers including proper identification and labeling.
  • The sanitation and housekeeping of the warehouse and perimeter areas.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and condition of all shipping supplies and any item pertinent to the operation of the warehouse.
  • Training in the safe operation of equipment to personnel for relief during absence of regularly assigned personnel.
  • Maintaining a safe operational environment by following and monitoring of all safety rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as directed by management or supervision within the individual’s competency level.
  • Responsible for FSSC/GMP Food safety related to designated area.
  • Immediately report any accidents or hazardous incidents including any issues with food safety, food raw materials, finished goods or any concerns whatsoever regarding food and drug products as required by the FDA and GFSI standards to management immediately.
