About The Position

L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more) through 4 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, California, Nevada, and New Jersey. Shift: Day Shift, Full-Time Job Summary The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for checking-in and unloading incoming shipments, verifying that the correct amounts and types of items were shipped, inspecting the goods in order to ensure their quality, stocking shelves, keeping reserve locations organized, and supervising the Receiving and Replenishment Departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three years in the Receiving or Replenishment Departments
  • Safety
  • Time management
  • Willingness to learn computerized scanning device

Responsibilities

  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Ensure execution of our customers’ fulfillment and distribution requirements, monitor and maintain proper safety and security controls, and support appropriate inventory integrity controls.
  • Examine and unpack incoming shipments; notify buyer of any shortages and damaged items
  • Stock/replenish items to their appropriate departments and shelves with unpacked items
  • Safely utilize forklifts and power jacks to move materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed
  • Operate a lift truck or hoist shipments from receiving platform to storage/reserve area
  • Provide replenishment reports to the department
  • Analyze replenishment numbers and report to upper management
  • Determining work procedures, preparing work schedules and expediting workflow
  • Ensuring that all employees are in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and other company-related policies and procedures
  • As Supervisor participates in the selection process of new employees, advises and directs the teams; assists with performance appraisals; maintains assignment completion schedules; disciplinary problems are referred to a higher level. Performs similar and higher level tasks.
