Pay Range: $20.00 YOUR ROLE Directs daily operations and provides leadership for assigned personnel. Responsible for communicating with Resource Planning, Inventory Management, Quality, and Operations Management to resolve any production issues. Accountable for assigned areas to ensure we meet or exceed all customer SLA’s as well as Operating plan performance metrics. This position is available at our Plainfield Airwest facility located at 2301 Reeves Rd Plainfield, IN, 46168

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years supervisory or lead experience required.
  • Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to train, motivate, coach and counsel others.
  • Ability to develop, coach, reward and motivate staff.
  • Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with customers and employees.
  • Very good written/oral communication and excellent listening skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving, conflict resolution, decision-making, planning and organizational skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in demanding environments with tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and familiar with record-keeping systems.
  • Small team leadership and relationship building skills and ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Ability to write and deliver performance evaluations and other feedback and hold employees accountable for quality and production standards.
  • Ability to assess situations and create plans to apply resources to projects, work situations, and problem areas.
  • Capable of demanding adherence to safety standards.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical or college degree is a plus, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a plus in logistics, 3 PL or distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for daily workstation assignments of regular and temporary labor
  • Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, productivity and quality
  • Lead a team of up to 25 fulltime/temporary Outbound associates
  • Train, review, and coach associates on department work instructions, processes, procedures, and policies
  • Known in the department/group as the “knowledge base” of information
  • Responsible for maintaining all defined 5S standards
  • Communicates daily with Resource Planning and Operations staff
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors, and their departmental personnel at all times
  • Actively participate in special department projects
