About The Position

Pool and Spa Depot is interviewing candidates for the position of Warehouse & Grounds Manager , for our Stone's River Warehouse in La Vergne, TN. We are seeking a proactive Warehouse & Grounds Manager to lead our inventory operations while serving as the primary steward of our physical property. You will be responsible for the "full lifecycle" of our facility-from managing high-volume shipping and receiving to ensuring our grounds, parking areas, and exterior landscaping are safe, clean, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is as comfortable optimizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) as they are coordinating seasonal grounds maintenance. The Warehouse & Facilities Manager will manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in warehouse management with a verified background in facilities or groundskeeping.
  • Strong inventory control skills.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management and facility/grounds maintenance.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
  • Experience in landscape maintenance, including mowing, irrigation system repair, and seasonal prep like snow or debris removal.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on warehouse machinery (forklifts) and grounds equipment (tractors, blowers).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in shipping and receiving.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating employees.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, manage priorities and workflow, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary; lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturday.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • E-Commerce experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all warehouse activities in support of operations including but not limited to receiving, storing, picking, & shipping
  • Review, analyze & implement efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitoring warehouse floor productivity..
  • Ensuring exterior signage, lighting, and fences are properly maintained.
  • Managing inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.
  • Coordinating with transportation teams to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Ensure accurate & timely shipments
  • Enforce established safety guidelines; promote a safe workplace.
  • Perform quarterly and/or annual physical inventories & provide reports as needed
  • Identify, document & implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all operating systems
  • Assign daily duties & monitor quality of work
  • Lead and motivate warehouse workers by assigning tasks, scheduling shifts and provide training.
  • Oversee the upkeep of the facility's exterior, ensuring parking lots, loading docks, and landscaped areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Lead facility improvement initiatives and manage vendor relationships for landscaping or exterior repairs.
  • Implement a schedule for routine inspections and repairs for both warehouse equipment (forklifts, conveyors) and grounds machinery (mowers, blowers)
  • Enforce OSHA standards for warehouse safety and environmental regulations for groundskeeping, such as safe chemical/pesticide application.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance & oversight of employees.
