About The Position

Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) has an opening for a Warehouse & Facilities Intern at the Palmyra, Missouri, location. Northeast Power is a transmission cooperative delivering electric power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa. This is a paid summer internship starting in May 2026 and ending in August 2026. The standard work schedule follows a 5-day, 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday. Some flexibility in workdays and hours may be required based on project needs and assignments. What You Will Do: The intern will support day-to-day warehouse activities, gaining hands-on experience in warehouse operations, light maintenance and general custodial duties within an industrial setting. In addition, you will: Assist with warehouse organization projects. Support painting tasks in and around the Warehouse and Operations areas. Perform custodial care of the Warehouse, Operations areas, offices and fuel island. Assist with inventory cycle counting and related documentation. Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment. What We Are Looking For: We are seeking an individual who is dependable, safety-minded and comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment. Ideally, you will bring strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently once trained. In addition, we are looking for: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform manual work for the full workday. Capability to follow instructions and work independently. Strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to support a variety of tasks. Currently enrolled in a degree program or planning to enroll in the fall.
