About The Position

Deutsche Windtechnik is Germany’s largest Independent Service Provider for Wind Turbine Generators, with operations across Europe, the US, and Asia. Since establishing its North American operations in 2018, headquartered in Houston, TX, the company aims to set the standard for quality, safety, efficiency, and customer service in the US market. The Warehouse Coordinator role involves overseeing a comprehensive range of warehouse activities, including goods receiving, merchandise inspection, sorting, and storage. This position is responsible for handling claims for missing or damaged items, coordinating shipping to internal sites and customers, and generating all necessary paperwork for sales and transfers. The coordinator will also play a crucial role in organizing the warehouse structure, ensuring its cleanliness, and supporting shipping needs across various sites and departments. Integral duties include conducting weekly cycle and full inventory counts, strictly adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring the proper usage of safety equipment. Additionally, the Warehouse Coordinator will be involved in the onboarding process for new team members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing, and effective time management.
  • Necessary data entry and computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours as project demands dictate.
  • Willingness to travel to support our sites if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Forklift license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a range of warehouse activities, including goods receiving, merchandise inspection, sorting, and storage.
  • Manage goods receiving, involving unloading trucks and inspecting merchandise.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.
  • File claims for any missing or damaged items received.
  • Handle shipping to internal sites and customers.
  • Create essential paperwork for sales and transfers.
  • Organize the warehouse and implement a proper structure with assigned bin locations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Provide support for shipping needs across sites and departments.
  • Conduct weekly cycle and full inventory counts.
  • Strictly adhere to safety rules at all times.
  • Wear the appropriate safety equipment while in the warehouse.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new team members.
