Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent responsibility-related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years shipping/receiving, material handling and inventory processes experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years forklift and pallet jack experience

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge and experience with ERP systems and ISO13485 requirements preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Express, UPS and commonly used freight carrier labeling and shipping procedures.
  • Intermediate level computer skills required in the operation of MS Word, Outlook and global shipping methods.
  • Certification in forklift safety and operation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; confirms customer-driven carrier or most economical and efficient shipping method; uses appropriate shipping packaging; packs items to prevent damage to product
  • Ensures thoroughness, accuracy, and great attention to detail with entering information in the ERP system
  • Confirms Sales Order to inventory; communicates with sales personnel when quantities do not match Sales Order
  • Ensures required shipping documentation and labels are with the final product
  • Communicates shipments to customers and sales personnel as required
  • Tracks shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents
  • Processes returned shipments from customers as required
  • Supports Development and Production by reviewing the job traveler and delivering the approved raw materials, packaging, and tooling to the production floor; cleanroom access is required
  • Communicates to Purchasing when raw materials are low
  • Receives and unloads incoming materials; notifies the Quality department when material requiring incoming inspection are received
  • Accounts for all items received and documents quantities within the ERP system
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies Supervisor, Purchasing and Quality
  • Transfers materials, packages and tooling to appropriate storage location and between buildings
  • Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items
  • Operates dolly, pallet jack or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
  • Properly disposes of scrap parts, trash, and recycling
  • Works with outside vendors for storage of overstock materials and tooling
  • Communicates with Accounts Payable regarding vendor invoices
  • Maintain clean environment ensuring floors and surfaces are free from materials and safety hazards
  • Perform annual inventory of raw and finished goods
  • Perform cycle counts of raw and finished goods as required
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standard
  • Model Isometric core competencies
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
