Position Summary: Manages the shipping office workflow and operations, assists with warehouse operations, ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Coordinating logistics, updating the warehouse management system, auditing inventory, streamlining shipping office processes and procedures, auditing inventory, and assisting with supervising warehouse staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics.
  • 5+ years of previous warehouse and/or logistics experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily intake and processing of shipping and receiving schedules, including dispatching trucks.
  • Categorizes inventory and completes inventory tracking
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Coordinates with sales and customer service to process orders, invoices, and packing lists.
  • Monitors productivity reports and other documentation.
  • Collaborates with the customer service team to resolve any shipping issues.
  • Collaborates with the Warehouse Supervisor and other associates.
  • Assists operations with fulfillment and quality control.
  • Assign tasks and work orders to traffic clerks and inventory control coordinators.
  • Assists Warehouse Supervisor with assigning tasks to warehouse staff.
  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in enforcing company policies and safety procedures, such as Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Reviews open and closed sales orders and invoices.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Prepare shipping documents and labels.
  • Escalates issues to managers when necessary.
  • Ensures warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Uses warehouse management systems.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adheres to good manufacturing practices.
