The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, recording, storing, protecting, and distributing components, parts, and assemblies. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job: Picks manufactured and commercial items in accordance with individual shop orders and delivers items to appropriate assembly location or staging area. Picks manufactured and commercial items in accordance with individual customer orders and delivers items to shipping area. Receives items from internal shop orders and records receipt on system. Places items in proper storage area as designated by computer system. Adjusts designated storage area as deemed necessary per judgment of proper safety and damage prevention of item and records location on system. Performs preventive maintenance of forklifts and makes and records daily inspection of handling equipment. Performs related and peripheral site-specific duties as required Participates in inventory cycle counts. Performs preventive maintenance/checks on trucks as necessary. Unloads trucks and signs bills. Opens boxes, inspects, confirms counts and receives incoming parts. Identifies shortages of parts and delivers parts to appropriate locations within company. Picks parts according to shop order and delivers to appropriate location. Picks converted parts and delivers to Machine Shop. Picks COP orders and delivers to Shipping. Pack parts for shipping. Assists Traffic Department in obtaining needed information for shipping foreign and domestic trucking, UPS, and Airfreight. Cleans and organizes work area. Occasional Job Responsibilities: Performs shipping function when necessary. Requests replacement supplies as necessary. Performs truck driving function when necessary, such as making pick-ups and deliveries between vendors and buyers.
