About The Position

The second shift Warehouse Automation Technician is responsible for service, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment including AS/RS, conveyors, racking, shrink wrappers, loading dock systems, and air compressors. Must resolve electrical and mechanical issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Self-starter able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Professional, calm demeanor when resolving issues
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with electrical panels, motors, and sensors
  • Ability to read/interpret electrical prints, drawings, and schematics
  • Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Background in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Frequent stooping, crouching, crawling around machinery
  • Climb ladders up to 75’ (10% of time)
  • Visual inspections in low-light environments
  • Move toolboxes up to 70 lbs; rig equipment up to 1,000 lbs
  • Clear communication during machine operations
  • Work in environments ranging from -10°F to 110°F
  • This position is for a second shift but will require training during the first shift for a couple of months.
  • Hours may vary (to include weekends) depending on the needs of operations team, to perform scheduled PMs, and/or make repairs to the system.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain automation systems
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment repairs
  • Support operations team and contractors with troubleshooting and repairs
  • Provide daily reports, updates on parts, and follow-up actions
  • Submit paperwork timely and professionally
  • Foster teamwork within the maintenance department
  • Operate and troubleshoot automation systems, diagnosing faults to component level
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment calibration
  • Isolate and repair electrical problems using appropriate tools
  • Interpret NEC and electrical safety standards
  • Replace defective components and restore equipment to production-ready status
  • Read and apply system technical data as needed
