About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately and timely filling customer orders, checking and packing materials for delivery, and facilitating efficient delivery methods. This role involves maintaining clean and safe work stations and the overall warehouse environment, managing assigned inventory stock locations, ensuring accurate labeling of batched material, and performing cycle counts. The associate will also efficiently tag and mark hoses, ensure hose assemblies meet industry standards, assist with loading and unloading products, and may support front counter/sales calls. Safe operation and maintenance of all equipment, adherence to company policies and safety rules, and notifying supervisors of maintenance or security concerns are also key. The position requires flexibility, including willingness to work overtime and be on-call, and to take on additional responsibilities for the betterment of Austin Hose.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years’ warehouse experience, including forklift operation.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with Austin Hose warehouse operations, products, and software.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others and understands material.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers, co-workers, supervisors, management and various personnel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors.
  • Ability to safely lift 50lbs or more.
  • Attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in customer orders.
  • Must be able to pass pre-hire and random drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and timely fills orders for customers.
  • Checks and packs material to be delivered.
  • Facilitate strategies to complete all delivery methods accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintains clean and safe work stations and throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintains assigned inventory stock locations making sure the material that is put away has the correct locator and the shelves are kept neat and orderly.
  • Assures all batched managed material is labeled accurately and inventoried, as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts as requested.
  • Efficiently tag and mark all hoses and ensure they are put in correct location neatly.
  • Assures all hose assemblies are correctly and accurately completed to industry standard and spec.
  • Assist to load and unload products from delivery service.
  • Assist with Front Counter/sales calls as needed.
  • Operates and maintains all equipment in a safe manner and adheres to all company policies and safety rules.
  • Notify supervisor of any building or equipment maintenance, repair needs and/or any security concerns.
  • Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, on-call, and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities for the betterment of Austin Hose.
