Requirements

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Stand/walk for up to 10 hours
  • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs safely
  • Willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g. forklift)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience
  • Customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of warehousing tasks in support of all sales distribution points while adhering to the company’s safety, quality, and production standards
  • Assist with unloading freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment
  • Compare goods received and packing slips to ensure order accuracy
  • Inspect goods for any damage
  • Notify their supervisor of discrepancies
  • Scan or enter product into inventory control system or related computer program
  • Maintain a consistent and adequate stock of products on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition
  • Use manual or motorized equipment to transport inventory between warehouse and store locations
  • Participate in scheduled inventory events such as physical inventory counts
  • Prepare shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations
  • Accurately pick items from customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions
  • Prepare shipments and load product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles
  • Occasionally drive a company vehicle to transport items from warehouse to customer or pick-up items from various locations
  • Help in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety
  • Participate in property maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
  • Perform related tasks as assigned
