About The Position

This position is responsible for moving meat products or materials using industrial vehicles. This position is also responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt of raw materials and meat products.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar position in a food processing environment is preferred.
  • Previous forklift operating experience is preferred or must be able to pass the forklift driving skills test.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy boxes/packages.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in cold and/or refrigerated environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with strong verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial vehicles including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks and other relevant equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks and ensure proper storage.
  • Transporting, relocating products, and organizing pallets within the designated areas.
  • Ensure proper organization and placement of products to optimize storage space.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and company policies.
  • Move products and materials manually as required.
  • Assist stack off associates as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and safe.
  • Receive, verify shipments, and inspect the quantity and quality of products and raw materials.
  • Fill out the shipping and receiving log.
  • Accurately record inventory data.
  • Assist in unloading inbound shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and document inbound shipments on the Receiving Log.
  • Verify Purchase Order number on bill of lading.
  • Verify Seal number on the truck matches the seal on the bill of lading.
  • Perform trailer inspection for foul odor, condensation, evidence of pest activity, standing water, and excessive trash or debris.
  • Verify product count matches with bill of lading.
  • Receive, log, and deliver parcel packages.
  • Prepare load to be shipped.
  • Keep Box Room stocked and prepare daily physical inventory.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and other teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols for handling meat products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
