As an experienced Warehouse/Route Driver, this role is an essential member of the distribution team, responsible for transporting gutter system products to customer locations. The Warehouse/Driver ensures safe and timely delivery of products, loads and unloads goods, verifies quantities, manages the warehouse, tracks inventories, organizes and stores products, performs quality control, and conducts regular auditing. Adherence to all safety protocols and routine vehicle inspections are crucial for the safe operation of the assigned vehicle. A high level of safety and transportation awareness is key for career success with Spectra.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certified or willing to obtain certification)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to safely operate commercial box trucks and straight trucks, which require different handling and skill than standard consumer rental vehicles such as U-Haul trucks
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, safety procedures, and inventory operations

Responsibilities

  • Follow delivery routes, traffic laws, and road regulations at all times
  • Verify delivery accuracy, obtain required signatures, and report discrepancies
  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles using safe lifting practices
  • Inspect received and delivered products for correct quantities and quality
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the delivery vehicle remains clean and in good operating condition
  • Perform or report required maintenance to keep the vehicle compliant and safe
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed
  • Pick up defective, incorrect, or returned merchandise from customers
  • Maintain accurate logs, delivery notes, and inventory records
