As an experienced Warehouse/Route Driver, you will be an essential member of our distribution team transporting our gutter system products to customer locations. The Warehouse/Driver is responsible for the delivery of products to customers in a safe and timely manner. They will be in charge of loading and unloading goods from vehicles and verifying the quantities of goods received and dispatched. The successful candidate will also manage the warehouse and keep track of inventories. This involves organizing and storing products, as well as quality control and regular auditing. They must adhere to all safety protocols and conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the safe operation of their assigned vehicle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certified or willing to obtain certification).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial box trucks and straight trucks, which require different handling and skill than standard consumer rental vehicles such as U-Haul trucks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, safety procedures, and inventory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles.
  • Verify the quantities of goods received and dispatched.
  • Manage the warehouse and keep track of inventories.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols.

  • Follow delivery routes, traffic laws, and road regulations at all times.
  • Verify delivery accuracy, obtain required signatures, and report discrepancies.
  • Inspect received and delivered products for correct quantities and quality.
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle remains clean and in good operating condition.
  • Perform or report required maintenance to keep the vehicle compliant and safe.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
  • Pick up defective, incorrect, or returned merchandise from customers.
  • Maintain accurate logs, delivery notes, and inventory records.
