About The Position

Make sure that all inventories are stored in a manor to facilitate an efficient flow of materials being shipped. Follow all instruction given by the warehouse manager.
Summary of essential job functions
Quality
Using scanners properly scan all items for a pick ticket
Insure that pallets are palletized correctly and safe for travel
Insure pallets are properly wrap, banded, etc
Insure that data input and extracted from the IQMS system is accurate
Labeling and or re-labeling of boxes as needed
You may be required to fill in for the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor
Cost Control
Store product to maximize use of available space
Load trailers to maximize space and insure safe transport of product Stay current on UPS and FedEx shipping rates and restrictions
Assist in cycle counts of inventory
Advise Warehouse Manager or Supervisor when running low on skids
Wherever possible combine boxes for UPS or Fedex shipments to reduce costs.
Safety
Use Personnel Protective Equipment as required (safety eye wear)
Use extreme care when driving forklifts especially when around pedestrians.
Report any issues with the forklift to the Maintenance Manager
Perform house keeping in the warehouse
Report all unsafe conditions to the Warehouse Manager, or Supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma
• 3 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing profession
• 1-2 years forklift experience
