About The Position

The Warehouse Assistant / Shop Runner supports daily field operations by maintaining warehouse organization, managing material flow, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and equipment to job sites. This position plays a critical role in keeping technicians productive and jobs running on schedule. The ideal candidate is punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, and maintains a clean driving record.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly
• Strong punctuality and attendance record
• Basic understanding of hand tools and construction materials
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Professional appearance and attitude

Nice To Haves

• Prior HVAC, plumbing, or construction warehouse experience
• Forklift experience (certification a plus)
• Familiarity with local supply houses
• Basic inventory management experience

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming HVAC and plumbing materials
• Maintain organized shelving, inventory areas, and staging zones
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking
• Prepare daily job materials and equipment for field crews
• Track and label materials accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within warehouse and yard
• Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
• Pick up parts from supply houses and vendors
• Assist technicians with material loading/unloading
• Transport equipment between branches or project locations
• Return unused materials and ensure proper documentation
• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle
• Follow all DOT and company driving policies
• On-time attendance daily
• Accurate and organized material handling
• Safe driving with zero preventable incidents
• Strong communication with field teams
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse environment
