This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects and tasks progress smoothly by providing timely access to necessary components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive or mechanical parts is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Driving skills: Safe and efficient operation of vehicles, including vans or trucks, and towing to transport parts and materials.
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Problem-solving: Quick thinking and resourcefulness to address any issues or obstacles that may arise during deliveries.
  • Customer service: Courteous and professional interaction with suppliers, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills: Ability to use software or systems for inventory management and record-keeping purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Source parts and materials from designated suppliers or vendors.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of parts and materials.
  • Coordinate with internal departments or teams to fulfill part requests.
  • Safely transport parts and materials to and from worksites, suppliers, or other locations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of all transactions and deliveries.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles and handling materials.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or delays.
