About The Position

The Warehouse and Supply Chain Supervisor is primarily responsibility for the day-to-day management of the dry goods warehouse with direct supervision of hourly warehouse personnel. This role requires that all materials are handled safely, efficiently and accurately in accordance with food safety audit and regulatory standards and maintain full traceability and inventory control through the SAP ERP system. At all times, the expectation is that the warehouse will be maintained in a clean and orderly condition at all times. This position plays a central role in maintaining the company's operational efficiency, supply continuity, and compliance with company standards and food safety programs. This role requires strong knowledge of receiving, storage, inventory management and production processing. Success in this position requires the ability to manage warehouse personnel and work collaboratively with purchasing, production, quality assurance and finance personnel and the ability to supervise hourly employees effectively. After a training and development period, the expectation is that this role will allow for leadership and participation in special projects that improve the company's efficiency, productivity and QA compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree /or other significant experience that demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership with excellent communication, organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Computer proficiency in ERP systems like SAP. This position requires proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with SQF or similar food safety certification systems.
  • Strong work ethic, leadership potential and willingness to learn. Demonstrated strong strategic thinking skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to advance to a senior management production position.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments at Galliker Dairy.
  • Flexibility to work unusual and extended hours as required and availability to work weekends and holidays if scheduled.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2-4 years of food and beverage management experience.
  • Preference for individuals with some warehouse management or other relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all dry goods warehouse operations including receiving, storage and inventory management.
  • Manage delivery schedules with suppliers. Inspect all incoming deliveries for quality, accuracy and condition.
  • Manage the storage and movement of all dry good items including milk cartons, resin for blow-molded containers, PET bottles and caps, labels, corrugated boxes, tape, shrink wrap, flavorings, beverage powders, stabilizers, dried milk, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Coordinate with the cooler warehouse for the proper receiving, storage, and transfer of refrigerated and frozen ingredients.
  • Maintain efficient warehouse layout to optimize safety and material flow. Ensure all warehouse practices comply with SQF, FDA, and GMP requirements.
  • Implement and enforce FIFO inventory rotation and proper lot tracking practices.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to resolve discrepancies or non-conformance issues.
  • Maintain real-time inventory accuracy through SAP ERP and barcode scanning.
  • Conduct scheduled cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and correct variances.
  • Monitor usage rates and coordinate with Purchasing and Production personnel to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Identify, monitor and track inventory ageing.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of union warehouse personnel responsible for receiving, put-away, staging, issuing, and transferring dry goods and production materials.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.
  • Ensure all labor utilization aligns with staffing requirements, overtime rules, and shift provisions.
  • Monitor productivity and material flow to optimize labor efficiency.
  • Conduct daily meetings to communicate production needs, safety priorities, and operational goals.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and GMP standards consistently and equitably among union personnel.
  • Develop and maintain cross-training programs within the framework of job classifications.
  • Implements policies and guidelines geared to continuous improvement in the areas of material usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production methods, employee relations and safety.
