Supply Chain Supervisor

The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Logistics, Receiving Clerks, Return Clerks and leads and ensuring that the receiving, inventory management processes run smoothly as well as the reverse supply chain. You will be required to work 9AM-5PM on site 5 days a week in our Somerset, NJ location.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma in addition to previous work experience for 3-5 years in Supply Chain or Logistics is required
- Supervisory experience is required
- Must possess a high level of initiative and drive towards results
- Able to work independently and thrives in a dynamic environment
- Structured and data-oriented mindset
- This position also requires working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV and PowerPoint is preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee functional areas that report to this position and provide technical expertise as needed
- Monitor the workload and workflow, prioritize work when needed. Re-assign staff and work as needed, including absentee and overtime coverage
- Perform manpower planning and provide for adequate staff, including hiring and discharging staff.
- Ensuring staff is properly trained and all necessary training records are up to date
- Reporting on teams KPIs on daily basis
- Monitoring staff performance and performing periodic performance evaluations
- Maintaining of staff attendance records, including updating the payroll attendance system and approving vacation requests
- Schedule, participate and/or lead meetings with department or company staff as needed
- Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity. Oversee periodic physical inventory counts.
- Coordinate with offsite warehouses on delivery of shipments and pickups
- Collaborate with other Demant entities across North America to ensure inventory is distributed across the site.
- Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize cost
- Create, review and update standard operation procedure for the logistics area
- Submit Distribution Quality Complaints in the QC system
- Back up the purchasing group when needed
