About The Position

This position is for a Ward Clerk whose responsibility is to assist in the organization and coordination of the daily activities within the Emergency Department. The position maintains necessary files and coordinates the flow of clerical activities in the department, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. The position reports to the Director of Emergency Department.

Requirements

  • Education level equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school required. GED acceptable.
  • Clerical experience preferred.
  • Basic clerical skills, to include filing, customer service, and basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the organization and coordination of the daily activities within the Emergency Department.

  • Coordinates the flow of clerical activities in the department
