About The Position

A leading structural contractor is seeking a MiTek Designer to support a growing design and preconstruction team. This is a fully onsite, hands-on role where you’ll play a critical part in producing accurate, build-ready designs that directly impact project efficiency, constructability, and field execution across residential and light commercial projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on MiTek design experience (required)
• Background in wall panel and truss design
• Strong understanding of wood framing and panelized construction
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player
• MiTek proficiency required
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Roseville, CA
• Background check required

Nice To Haves

• Degree or certification in construction or engineering preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed MiTek-based designs for wall panels and structural systems
• Produce shop drawings, layouts, and design calculations within MiTek
• Interpret architectural and structural plans to ensure alignment with design intent and load paths
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and field teams to support constructability
• Provide design input during preconstruction to improve material usage, cost control, and workflow efficiency
• Verify all designs meet applicable building codes, engineering standards, and project specifications
