General Summary of Position The Carpenter Panel Installer exists to install a variety of Light Gauge Metal Wall Panels including load bearing light gauge metal wall panels, curtainwall light gauge metal wall panels; structural steel and other products offered as add-ons to Klover Wall Panel Systems. This position must be familiar with the tools of the trade and can read, follow, and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

At times, multiple sounds can be heard as employee is working on job, employee must have the ability to focus on the sound in particular that is associated with the task they are completing.

Due to the safety sensitive nature of the position, at all times, employee must be fit for duty and not report to work under the influence of a mind altering or performance altering substance.

The following PA Act 153 clearances, or proof of application of clearances, are required beginning employment and as a condition of continued employment: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check Obtaining the required clearances is completed as part of the new hire process.

Nice To Haves

Participation in a secondary or post-secondary trade curriculum
1+ year experience with panel or structural steel installation
1+ year experience with stick welding (optional)
Knowledge and understanding of construction safety devices and PPE
Rigging and Signaling experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Accurately measure and read height, width, length, and other proportions with a tape measure
Assist foreman with proper layout for work to be put in place
Fabricate or alter parts using grinders, sawzalls, shears, hammers, punches, or drills
Join materials with PAFs, nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure
Check work along the way to ensure it meets specification and quality standards
Install/use rigging and hoisting equipment
Install wall panel products according to specifications and building codes
Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
Work at heights with several elevated platforms
Keep work area clean and productive
Always exercise the proper use of PPE
Set up and safely use company equipment
Maintain welding certification through maintenance logs and supervisor observation
