About The Position

The Wafer Test and Characterization Technician works with a team of engineers and technicians to sustain epitaxial wafer test and characterization processes for all production. This role will operate semiconductor characterization and testing equipment for evaluating the quality of epitaxial wafers.

Requirements

1-3 years experience in Semiconductor wafer testing or related field
Experience with all or some of the measurement techniques listed in the job summary
Experienced in SPC techniques
Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
Able to use computers efficiently
Well organized and pay close attention to detail
Have good eye/hand dexterity, and be able to handle fragile parts
Language: Must speak and write English well
High School Diploma required

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in: Electronics Semiconductor Technology Electrical Engineering Technology Physics or related field or equivalent hands-on semiconductor lab experience

Responsibilities

Follow instructions from shift Supervisor;
Test & characterize wafers according to detailed wafer documentation specific to each part.
Set up, operate, and perform calibration procedures on test equipment;
Work closely with a team of Engineers
Perform data collection
Summarize and communicate findings accurately to engineering team and management
Write work instruction in support of ISO activity
Perform routine maintenance of test equipment
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
