We believe you should enjoy and grow during your internship experience. This position is located in Jacksonville. The intern must have capability to travel minimally to VyStar’s branch locations. (9-week internship program begins the first week of June and ends the first week of August.) What you’ll do: VyStar’s paid internship experience will work with the Information Security team supporting Application & Product Security focusing on securing our applications and the products you use with secure coding, vulnerability testing, customer identity & access management and safeguards for our products' lifecycles against threats.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university
  • Rising College Juniors, Seniors or Graduate Students
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with multi-disciplined teams
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office Tools
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Participation in college organizations and the community

Responsibilities

  • Expand knowledge of Code Security Scanning, Application Security Posture Management, API security, Web Application Firewalls.
  • Work with container and service-oriented security architecture for cloud-based services.
  • Work with a modern SDLC including CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, API economies, and container deployment.
  • Work within agile and waterfall project methodology.
  • Analyze data in Excel and/or Power BI.
  • Promote and advocate for code security awareness to internal development teams.
  • All employees and business units, as first line of defense, are expected to proactively help identify, assess, manage, and report risks within their domain of work.
