VyStar is proudly seeking talented interns to be involved in a broad range of projects, while gaining a strong foundation of the Credit Union business. This is an exciting time to join VyStar! This position is located in Jacksonville, FL. The 9-week internship program begins the first week of June and concludes the first week of August. Interns assigned to Human Resources will have the opportunity to work with a specific team within the function to understand the importance of HR’s strategy to attain, develop, grow, and retain the most talented workforce. During the internship you will support the Total Rewards department, including the Compensation and Benefits team. Over the course of the 9-week program, there will be opportunities for cross-functional engagement in other Human Resources disciplines too, if interested. All employees and business units, as first line of defense, are expected to proactively help identify, assess, manage, and report risks within their domain of work. To enhance a healthy risk culture and support our growth for good pillar, employees will maintain vigilance in safeguarding our operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates. The Risk team serves as the second line of defense by providing risk oversight and credible challenge whereas the Audit team serves as the third line of defense by providing risk assurance. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the Compensation and HR Benefits teams while learning how Total Rewards strategies impact employee engagement and organizational success. Build industry knowledge by assisting with key projects and initiatives across Compensation and Benefits. Support Compensation reporting and processes, gaining insight into how pay structures and analytics drive business decisions. Learn to leverage Compensation tools for data analysis and reporting, developing practical technical skills. Partner with the HR Benefits Leave of Absence team on audit preparation and vendor management, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited college/university
  • Rising College Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students, or Thrive Scholars
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with multi-disciplined teams
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office Tools
