About The Position

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced VTC Engineer (Level 3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video telecommunications engineering, project management, and digital A/V systems. This role requires an individual who is comfortable in high-visibility, customer-facing environments and has a proven track record of managing VTC infrastructure lifecycles.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of comprehensive experience with VTC A/V (Audio & Video) systems.
  • Alternatively, 12+ years of experience with at least 3 years as a lead.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Familiarity with “AMX” series equipment, including the ability to configure and program.
  • Understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) VTC system requirements.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) eligibility to be considered.
  • Must be comfortable in high visibility and customer-facing environments.
  • Demonstrate strong communications and multitasking skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) in support of UC operations.
  • Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs, crawl, and walk long distances.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
  • Security+ CE certified
  • CTS, CTS-D, and/or CTS-I certified
  • CAPM certified

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for AV/VTC systems, offering guidance on best practices and emerging technologies to team members.
  • Responsible for leading a team of technicians and engineers to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide variety of VTC equipment, including cameras, microphones, video displays, speakers, audio mixers, DVD players, video matrix switches, wires, and cables.
  • Conduct site surveys to design and install A/V systems based on customer requirements.
  • Conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation on AV/VTC systems and equipment.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of AV/VTC equipment.
  • Empower users with knowledge and training on control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment.
  • Develop plans for re-engineering and replacing legacy systems to improve customer productivity, enhance maintainability, and reduce costs.
