Digital Consultants is seeking a VTC Bridge Operator for our contract supporting the US Army TRADOC VTC/AV Support Services. The Bridge Operator shall test and troubleshoot as required internally or with far-end sites and facilitate conferences when necessary.

Requirements

  • The Bridge Operator shall be available during core hours with the shift changing every two weeks from 0700-1600 to 0900 -1800.
  • On occasion, the Contractor may be required to work after normal hours and weekends and surge support may be needed based on mission needs.
  • The Bridge Operation shall be designated as Mission Essential. This personnel shall report on time or stay on duty despite late reporting, early dismissal or base closure due to weather conditions or other operation curtailing events. They shall continue to provide VTC/IPTV/AV for mission operations as required from 0700-1800 hours.
  • Experience working on an MCU Bridge, TMS/CMS application, connecting in different formats (H.323, H.320, IP, ISDN, Alias, DISA GVS, unclassified and classified), connecting Audio Bridge, inputting data on the bridge, and conducting Over-The-Air-Rekey using COMSEC devices
  • Proficient with the use of the suite of Microsoft products including but not limited to MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, and MS Visio
  • Education/Experience: 2+ years of IT experience
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Certifications: DOD 8570 IAT Level I

Responsibilities

  • Test and troubleshoot as required internally or with far-end sites and facilitate conferences when necessary.
  • Practical hands-on experience with scheduling, reserving, and managing VTC sessions.
  • Provide and maintain accurate record keeping for reports.
  • Perform daily testing and preventive maintenance on core VTC components and systems.
  • Perform and monitor user pre-conference testing and setup for videoconferences as required.
  • Monitor VIP-level VTC sessions to ensure endpoints are connected and to address and resolve issues/concerns as they arise.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls for VTC support/assistance; providing Tier I/II level support as necessary.
  • Test and register endpoints to the VTC Bridge creating templates.
  • Maintain and update customer templates as necessary to ensure reliable connection information.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance and direction to customers in establishing and operating video teleconferencing systems.
  • Support after-hours VTC scheduling requirements as necessary and/or when directed.
  • Provide training and assistance to new VTC Bridge personnel as necessary.
  • Report VTC issues and concerns to leadership as the need arises.
