About The Position

Blumenthal Arts seeks a Part Time VR Lead to assist in overseeing operations of VR experiences at Blume Studios. The VR Lead is responsible for overseeing technical operations, offering support to the Mission Specialists, and opening and closing the immersive exhibitions at Blume Studios on a daily basis. This is a temporary, part‑time position tied to the duration of the exhibition and requires regular weekend availability. Weekly hours will range from 20-30 hours. Your impact: Opening and closing of the exhibition Supervise and offer support to Mission Specialists during all operating hours Provide a consistent and continuous level of training to all staff Carry out or coordinate outlined necessary maintenance and cleaning tasks to guarantee the equipment and scenery meet experience standards Offer technical support to troubleshoot problems as they occur Oversee the exhibition’s scenography and coordinate any repairs as needed Complete daily operations reports Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and professional throughout the duration of the exhibition Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management Who We Are:  For 31 years, Blumenthal Arts has been presenting the best of Broadway, establishing Charlotte as one of the nation’s top‑ten touring markets. Requirements

  • Computer and/or virtual reality technical experience
  • Capacity to troubleshoot technical problems under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and interact with many people
  • Comfort with interacting with the public
  • Positive attitude
  • Problem solving and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Tasks may involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort in the form of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
