VR/AR Simulation Developer The Opportunity: Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a skilled VR/AR Simulation Developer to contribute to the design and development of immersive training solutions. You will utilize Unity and XR technologies, including Meta Quest 3, to create realistic virtual environments, enemy UAS threat models, sensor simulations, and training scenarios that replicate modern contested operational environments. You will directly support training modernization, enabling Soldiers to visualize, identify, and respond to threats in dynamic and adaptable virtual environments. What You'll Do: Develop immersive VR and mixed-reality training scenarios using Unity for the Meta Quest 3 system Create realistic enemy behaviors, threat profiles, flight characteristics, and engagement scenarios Implement C# scripts for sensor interaction, kinetic and non-kinetic defeat mechanisms, detection cues, and trainee feedback systems Design intuitive XR user interfaces for Soldier interactions, mission planning, and after-action review Translate operational requirements and training objectives into interactive simulation modules Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), fires units, EW teams, intelligence analysts, and training developers to ensure scenario accuracy Integrate models, radar signatures, visual/sound cues, and environmental factors into immersive training experiences Support the development of virtual rehearsals, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and task-based simulations aligned with Army training doctrine Optimize VR applications for standalone performance on Meta Quest 3 hardware Conduct usability testing with Soldiers and instructors to validate realism and training effectiveness Troubleshoot XR hardware and software issues, SDK conflicts, rendering pipeline challenges, and build stability Join us.
