About The Position

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners
for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for
school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's
development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning,
assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the
requirements of the program.

Requirements

• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
