Requirements

  • Hold a High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Can complete your DCF hours within 90 Days of employment
  • Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children

Nice To Haves

  • Education in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience within a licensed center

Responsibilities

  • Assist the VPK Lead Teacher, ensuring classroom activities align with Florida's Office of Early Learning and the VPK curriculum standards.
  • Guide young learners, prioritizing their safety, well-being, and developmental growth.
  • Plan engaging activities together with the lead teacher.
  • Foster strong, open communication with parents, nurturing positive relationships and supporting our educational objectives.
