In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing Broadridge Business Process Outsourcing Tax Reporting and Withholding team's global operations, compliance, reporting and risk management functions. As a senior strategic leader, your role will ensure accurate and timely tax filings, optimize tax processes, drive technological transformations and provide strategic guidance to senior management and clients on tax matters. You will be partnered with internal stakeholders, clients and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operation. Given the complexity of the role, you will need to be a strong developer of people and an exceptional communicator.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of Tax Operations related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience is preferred.
  • Series 99 preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Taxation or related field.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Quick learner that can adapt to a growing business.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with clients and internal associates alike.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be Subject Matter Expert for operational tax processes including withholding Tax, IRS filings (including forms 1099, 1042S, 1099Rs, 1099Qs 1099B, 5498, state filings), FATCA/CRS, 1446(f), 871(m), 305C, 302 etc
  • Lead and supervise a global tax team of 20 associates and all related tax operation processes.
  • Mentor and nurture talent, encourage mobility and champion the growth of your people all while providing extraordinary client service and satisfaction during periods of rapid growth.
  • Monitor market and regulatory changes to ensure processes are up to date with the changes.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and controls in line with regulatory or business requirement changes.
  • Closely monitor all risk and control indicators and ensure robust processes are adhered to for risk mitigation purposes. Escalate on a timely basis to senior management on any emerging issues.
  • Manage relationships and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders from technology, clients and third-party vendors.
  • Identify automation opportunities and make recommendations to implement technical solutions in an efficient manner.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as business development and technology to assist with business growth
