About The Position

You'll lead and grow Etsy's Marketplace Services, shaping product strategy, execution, and outcomes. This area includes Payments, Global Orders (Fulfillment + International), and Agentic Commerce. You'll partner closely with Fulfillment, Payment, and International Operations teams, and Payment Partnerships, to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions that delight buyers and sellers worldwide. This is a full-time role reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy's Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. Requirements

  • Bring 15+ years of product management experience, including 8+ years leading managers and multi-initiative portfolios in marketplaces, fintech/payments, logistics/fulfillment, or platform services.
  • Own P&L-impacting roadmaps and turn strategy into iterative, measurable results.
  • Ship regulated payments, risk-aware systems, or complex cross-border/fulfillment solutions with Legal, Finance, and Operations partners.
  • Scale and coach high-performing teams, across levels and geographies, with energy and purpose.
  • Lead hands-on, focusing on clarity, outcomes, and sequencing foundational platform work alongside experience improvements.
  • Communicate with influence and impact across executives, partners, and teams; tell concise, data-informed stories.
  • Empathize with Etsy's buyers and sellers, and create products that balance utility, trust, and delight, keeping Commerce Human.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-year product vision and roadmap, connecting strategy to company priorities and measurable results.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow your team, designing initiatives and squads that deliver real value.
  • Collaborate across teams - Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, Customer Operations, Trust & Safety, Finance, Legal, and Partnerships - to build scalable, cohesive solutions.
  • Embed compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements into product plans, working with Legal and Payments leadership (including EPIL/PSD3 for EEA sellers).
  • Enhance buyer and seller experiences with fast checkout, clear pricing, transparent post-purchase updates, reliable fulfillment, and strong partner networks.
  • Set and track KPIs for checkout completion, payment success, on-time delivery, and cross-border trust.
  • Grow external partnerships with payment providers, BNPL partners, and shipping carriers to expand reach and reliability.
  • Strengthen platform quality and reliability with Infrastructure teams, applying shared standards for observability, redundancy, and scalability.
  • Represent Marketplace Services in executive forums, sharing trade-offs, investment cases, and progress with clarity, confidence, and energy.
