VP Product

Nexxa.AISunnyvale, CA

About The Position

Nexxa.ai is building artificial super intelligence for heavy industries — enabling machines, systems and operations to think, decide and act autonomously across manufacturing, large-scale infrastructure, logistics and legacy environments. Our mission is to translate deep technical breakthroughs into operational reality, solving some of the hardest systems-level problems in industry. We are looking for a seasoned Vice President of Product to define the vision, strategy and execution of our product organisation. This role is far from a traditional product management job — you will chart the roadmap, deliver the system architecture and lead the deployment of intelligence into the field. Using our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) model, you’ll ensure product development is tightly coupled with real‐world operations. You’ll partner directly with the CEO , lead a cross-functional product, design and engineering team, and own how Nexxa’s intelligence platform evolves from pilot to large-scale industrial deployment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product leadership, ideally in AI, industrial software, heavy systems, or complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven success building and scaling technically sophisticated products, especially those requiring field deployment, customer integration, and operational impact.
  • Strong technical acumen—comfortable with system architecture, data flows, autonomy, and the interplay of engineering and operations.
  • Experience working closely with customers and being field-oriented (deployments, operations, feedback loops).
  • Excellent strategic thinker and hands-on operator; able to navigate ambiguity and deliver in high-stakes environments.
  • Exceptional communicator—can articulate complex technical details to business stakeholders and translate customer needs into product strategy.

Nice To Haves

  • Working with forward-deployed engineering models is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy Define and own Nexxa’s long-term product vision as the intelligence layer for heavy industry.
  • Translate complex industrial and legacy system problems into a strategic roadmap: from architecture to field execution.
  • Align product strategy with business goals, customer needs and FDE deployment realities.
  • Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Leadership Lead and embed the FDE organisation — engineers who deploy into customer environments, integrate with operations, iterate rapidly, bring field feedback and feed it into the core product team.
  • Future Ventures Corp+2Arete Coach+2 Ensure the product development lifecycle includes real-world deployments: embed in customer sites, learn from operational constraints, refine and scale.
  • Build a product organisation that doesn’t just build features in isolation, but co-creates with customers in the field, turning pilots into production.
  • Product Development & Execution Drive end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, specification, architecture, build, release, iteration.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, customer success and FDE teams to prioritise, validate and launch features that matter in heavy-industry contexts.
  • Establish frameworks for product metrics, operational feedback loops, deployment health and scalability in complex environments (legacy systems, multi-site operations, large data flows).
  • Translate deep technology into usable, field-ready systems — focus on reliability, usability, performance under real-world constraints.
  • Team & Culture Build and lead a high-performing product organisation grounded in FDE thinking: field-aware, customer-proximate, outcome-driven.
  • Cultivate a culture of rigor, curiosity, operational empathy and speed.
  • Partner with the CEO, CTO, marketing and sales teams to align roadmap, go-to-market strategy and customer success.

Benefits

  • Hybrid role in the San Francisco Bay Area , competitive compensation + equity, with the opportunity to build a world-class product organisation.
