About The Position

AMC Networks is home to many of the greatest stories and characters in TV and film and the premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world. We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business. We are currently seeking a VP, Pricing & Planning to join our Pricing & Inventory and Direct Response team based in our New York, NY office.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in media pricing, planning or revenue operations in a media or broadcast environment
  • Proven experience in leading and developing large teams
  • Strong understanding of both Linear and Digital/Addressable advertising ecosystem
  • Experience working with platforms such as Wide Orbit, Boostr, Freewheel
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Deep knowledge of sales planning, pricing and inventory optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to deliver customized solutions that align with client goals while also maximizing yield
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with marketplace demand and internal goals
  • Collaborate with Sales, Inventory, Ad Operations, Product, and Finance to ensure alignment across goals and execution
  • Manage the creation and evolution of rate cards, pricing guidelines, and packaging strategies.
  • Work with alternative currencies
  • Oversee training and development of a high performing Sales Planning team
  • Accelerate evolution of AMCN Ad Sales to advanced audience-based products across digital and linear end points
  • Stay abreast of advancements in advanced advertising/addressable, as well as alternative currencies to increase ad efficacy and drive revenue growth
