About The Position

Responsible for managing a team of analysts and associates, and supporting lending efforts by performing the analysis, underwriting, origination, monitoring, and servicing of loans of varying degrees of complexity and specificity across the Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division. Underwrites and reviews credit memorandums and ensures all due diligence is complete and accurate and in compliance with the policies and procedures of the CIB - portfolio management, underwriting, and operations units. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining credit relationships within the CIB division, and manages the Credit Analyst Training Program.

  • 3+ years of work experience in Commercial and/or Corporate Banking, required.
  • 1+ year of experience leading and mentoring a team, required.

  • Successful completion of a formal credit training program, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff to include staffing, assigning and delegating work, scheduling, training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Conducts performance reviews and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manages the Credit Analyst Training Program, including analyst development, scheduling, feedback, and performance tracking.
  • Leads analyst onboarding, maintaining pre-start engagement and ensuring readiness for the first day.
  • Coordinates meet-and-greets with vertical leaders and cross-functional teams to broaden analyst exposure across the bank.
  • Gathers and stores the quarterly credit analyst feedback forms for each rotating analyst, meeting with each to discuss performance to support skill development.
  • Manages pool work assignments for rotating analysts, coordinating with teams to allocate resources effectively.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, including the planning, scheduling, and execution of the final mock loan project for each rotating training class.
  • Creates and administers weekly quizzes to reinforce training and assess analyst progress.
  • Acts as a data steward, enforcing data rules, and responsible for relevant reporting (Policy and Collateral Exception, Reporting Exception, Annual Review List).
  • Develops and maintains credit spreading and risk documentation.
  • Develops and maintains procedures for underwriting systems, including documentation for new platforms.
  • Leads testing, enhancement, and implementation of the CIB CL platform, scorecards and future system upgrades.
  • Serves as a liaison between Credit, Underwriting, Portfolio Managers, and Systems team to resolve issues and improve workflows.
  • Develops and manages CIB dashboards, ensuring accurate data reporting and visibility for stakeholders.
  • Provides data support for Core/Booking systems.
